Poor lame duck Governor Paterson unable to raise charter school cap to 460 (the numbers seems to continue getting larger) because no cash to buy the political support for them.

Assembly Member Sam Hoyt to attend $1,000 fund raiser hedge fund mangers organized for him Mayor Bloomberg hosting
"...many hedge fund managers are expected to attend a $1,000-a-ticket fund-raiser on Wednesday at the Harvard Club for Assemblyman Sam Hoyt of Buffalo. Mr. Hoyt, a Democrat and a charter school supporter..." Also, they met with gubernatorial hopeful attorney genral Andrew Cuomo, April 9, 2010 for an informal fund raiser.

Here We Go Again
Pro-charter school outside groups in Buffalo trying to influence the election
to elect candidates they support. The Education Reform Now Coalition and
outside entity is leading the way with higly paid street canvassing, telephone calling,
disingenuous information about the other candidates. It's almost like an "Operation Rescue"
has come to town but focused on education. Vote, Tuesday, May 4, 2010.
